The 186 Employer Nomination Scheme visa is for skilled workers who want to work in Australia. This visa involves a two-step process. Nomination must be made by an approved Australian employer and then an application made under the Permanent Employer Sponsored Visa programme. Applying under this stream will get you on your pathway to Permanent Residency.
The 187 Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa is for skilled workers who want to work in regional Australia. Being sponsored under this program comes with a few concessions to help fill skilled shortages in regional Australia. Nomination must be made by an approved Australian employer and then an application made under the Permanent Employer Sponsored Visa programme. This visa will get you on your pathway to Permanent Residency.
