The Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement (FNQ DAMA) allows businesses that operate in Cairns and the greater Far North Queensland (FNG) to sponsor skilled and semi-skilled overseas workers for positions they are unable to fill with local workers.  Businesses that operate in the FNQ region can employ overseas workers, to fill a full-time position, in one or more of 164 Occupations on the FNQ DAMA Occupation List. Each occupation on the FNQ DAMA Occupation list has been divided into sectors such as Agriculture, Aviation, Trades, Tourism & Hospitality and also into seven separate skills assessment groups. Each applicant that wants to apply for a visa based on their chosen occupation will need to meet the specific age concession, minimum required qualification and experience, and minimum English level for their selected occupation.  As of 18 June 2021 the FNQ DAMA Occupation list included all of the following occupations:
